Mercy Bell

MERCY BELL

Mercy Bell was raised in California and New England, and lived in New York City, and Arkansas before finally settling in Nashville.

Her sound is deeply influenced by traditional roots music, folk and country western songs of the 1960s-70s, and songwriters of the 1990s. As an openly queer Filipino-American woman who has lived all over the United States and grapples with the hard truths of life, Bell offers a fresh and dynamic approach to folk music.

“Mercy Bell is a distinct voice with a potent take on emotive, modern folk with a vibrato that’s as strong as it is vulnerable” - Rolling Stone Country

“Mercy Bell is an artist that encompasses an entire era within the chords of her melodies and the dulcet tone of her voice. She will transport you to the 60s where Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul and Mary are putting on late night concerts for people looking for a change. Put on any of Mercy Bell’s songs and you are immediately transported to a better place.”KERRI MANISCALCO,
