Alissa is an interesting lady, and a woman of many, many talents (not least of which include, wife, mother, and the multitude of things that come with those roles). She was born on a small Navajo reservation, and grew up in Albuquerque. She cultivated her music education in Hawaii, and spent a year writing songs there before moving to Los Angeles.

Moreno is pretty humble about her impressive resume, she doesn’t like to toot her own horn, but of course she doesn’t need to. Her talent speaks for itself, and a host of stellar names agree. She’s written with and been recorded by artists such as Rascall Flatts, Vince Gill, John Oates, Sara Evans, Alex Da Kid, Vertical Horizon, and too many others to fit here.

Her music is featured in TV and Film, including the Lifetime series Army Wives, of which her single “In Your Wake” was the show ID. You’ve also probably heard her music if you’ve seen The Hills, MTV’s Laguna Beach, How I Met Your Mother, Will and Grace, Criminal Minds, the theme song for Hope and Faith, and commercials for Tide, Belk, and the promo song for The Young and the Restless. Her music can be heard in films like Daltry Calhoun, Undiscovered, and the Slamdance hit Mall Cop.

She was also Ben Affleck’s vocal coach for his SAG Award winning role in Hollywoodland

As if that repertoire wasn’t interesting enough, she’s also penned “Pineapple Wine”, a single released by the Grammy winning Morgan Heritage, which topped Reggae charts around the world, reaching #1 in eight countries. She went on to write Walking Blind for The Voice Season 1 winner, (Team Adam) Javier Colon, and two songs on his previous album When and That's My Little Girl. She holds the current single Beautiful World for Russian born, International superstar Alexander Kogan, as well as a handful of singles and cuts from around the world including the South African Idol winner Elvis Blue song Only Wanna Be With You.
